Light the way

As one recovers from illness, introspection seems inevitable. For me, as I recovered from an operation, the image of a lamp started to recur in my consciousness. I work in a building that Florence Nightingale, the famous Lady with the Lamp and founder of modern-day nursing designed. A spontaneous tribute to this formidable woman in colours that signify joy rather than dreariness or fear, the lamp also features two little butterflies, little souls of grateful patients. Can you work out the meaning of the key and the coin?
